Went down to York, PA, & did a tour of the Production Plant for Harley Davidson motorcycles. It went for about an hour & was free, good value, they actually took you out on the floor to see the different stages of manufacture. They make the hogs, trikes & soft-tails there. A very interesting tour even if you're not into Harley's. Unfortunately, you're not allowed to take photos on the tour.

From there we went across to Intercourse & Bird-in-Hand, where the Amish live. Was really looking forward to this as it meant I could go in to lots of quilt shops. We drove around yesterday afternoon & saw lots of horse & buggies, & I did go in to lots of quilt shops, bought a few things but no quilts. Ray has spent a lot of time sitting in the RV & being very patient.

Yesterday evening, we had arrived at Walmart to stay for the night. We had only been here for about 10 minutes when we heard the clip-clop of horses hooves & an Amish family tied up just opposite us, to the hitching post. Nearly everywhere we've been they've had either a rail or posts to tie up to.

Today was spent going to more quilt shops while Ray always seems to find a bakery close by. The quilts are absolutely amazing, the work that goes in to them. Ray found an Amish buggy-maker & went & spoke to him & he was kind enough to show us around where they make them.

We also did a buggy ride with an old Amish guy who took us around the back blocks, very informative & interesting. Again this evening an Amish family arrived at Walmart, they don't leave until dark so we've been able to see them in the dark.

The weather has been beautiful today, lovely & sunny, about 70, been back in t-shirts again, hope it lasts.
