Stayed at the casino again last night, it was very handy with us going to the Keys yesterday as we didn't have to go anywhere near the city. Drove in to Miami this morning, had thought we might do a tour of the waterways but parking proved to be a problem. Went to one place & they wanted $25 for 2 hours & we weren't even sure if we were in the right place for the cruises so decided we didn't really want to do it anyway.

Drove over the bridge to Miami Beach & went to Southpoint Park, the southernmost point of the island. It was a beautiful park & only $1.75 an hour to park there. Had a walk around before taking off. Thought we would get on the interstate to get out of Miami but it was too congested, 5 or 6 lanes of traffic all going your way & flying past at 70 miles per hour & zipping in & out of lanes, too much for us. We saw a ute fly past with 3 kids in the back one of whom was sitting on a camp chair. Couldn't believe it & wasn't quick enough with the camera. Also, everyone either texts or talks on their phone, obviously no laws about that & helmets aren't necessary for either motorbikes or push bikes.

Got back on the coast road at Fort Lauderdale & were so glad we did. We followed it all the way up to Fort Pierce, sometimes having the waterways on our left & the ocean on our right, some absolutely amazing houses & lots of high rise apartments in different area. It was a beautiful drive, stopped at one place to have lunch & Ray was going to go for a swim but it was a little rough & there were no lifesavers.

Camped at Walmart for the night, there would be at least 15 RV's here tonight.
