We climbed back up to come out & stopped for the night in an RV park at Shoshone & cranked up the aircon, our first really hot day.
Yesterday was very warm, the warmest we've had so far, so managed to find a campsite under a huge tree with lots of shade & a nice breeze & we climbed more mountains again, they seem to b everywhere but are very beautiful. This morning started out very warm & was only going to get hotter as we were going to Death Valley but again there were more mountains to climb. It is amazing that you climb to 6,000 ft then go right down to 282ft below sea level. And boy was it hot, we stopped at a place going down into the valley that was at 2,000 ft el & it was 113F (45C) & & that was about 11.30. When we got right down into the valley we got out again & it just hits you, unbelievable, much hotter than 113 but don't know what it was.
