After leaving this morning we came down the coast a bit & came across a sea-lion colony, there were heaps of them & just on the beach in front of us. We did a tour of Hearst Castle which was built by William Randolf Hearst, an American newspaper publisher, over a period of 28 years, with construction ceasing in 1947, & the house is still uncompleted. The main house has about 115 rooms & there are 3 smaller houses on the property. It has 2 of the most amazing pools you have ever seen & it is perched on top of a hill overlooking the coast. The house is now owned by the State & is well worth going to see.
We have a bit of time up our sleeve so have decided to head back inland to see a few more national parks that we didn't worry about doing when we first arrived as we weren't sure how we were going to go for time. We camped at Walmart again in Hanford.
