Have got way behind with this blog, have not had wi-fi much lately, so will do a quick catch-up. After leaving Port Angeles we've basically travelled down the coast road from Washington, through Oregon & into California. Will just give a quick run-down on a few towns.

Forks- better known for being the setting for the Twilight series of books. Despite none of the movies actually being filmed here they milk it for all it's worth, only a very small town so without Twilight you would pass straight through.
Long Beach (Washington) - a beautiful seaside town with American flags & banners flying everywhere, a small town that would well in size come holiday time. Ray thought he had locked the keys in the bus for about 10 minutes & after trying to break in discovered they were in his pocket - thank god.
Oregon
Reedsport - as we were passing through town saw a banner across the road for a chainsaw carving competition so went to have a look. It was a whole weekend thing but we just spent a couple of hours, amazing the sculptures they did with a chainsaw.
Winchester Bay - on the coast with lots of dunes & lots of atv's & dune buggies, they were even camped in the dunes, couldn't believe there were so many.
 California
Avenue of the Giants - a beautiful drive of 31 miles through some huge coastal redwoods.
Mendocino - better known for being Cabot Cove in the television series "Murder She Wrote". A very pretty town but also very windy.
We have noticed it getting much busier as we come further south, partly because it is holiday season now & we are also in more populated areas.
