Turned off the main highway south on to whatthey call the Sea to Sky Highway, except wew doing it the other way around. Just before we turnd off we came into an area they call the Arizona of Canada, very warm & much drier with very little trees. This continued on the new road & there was a huge canyon. Lillooet is on the side of the canyon & was quite amazing, much different to what we've been seeing. The road was very windy & this continued after Lillooet however we were back into the forests again & snow-capped mountains. It was pretty much a down-hill drive for the afternoon with some of the grades being 13%, glad we were going down & not up.
The day started out lovely, we didn't even have jumpers on in the morning, a first few quite a few weeks & Ray was even back into shorts. However, by the time we got to our camping spot for the night, by a river, it was back into long pants & jumpers again.
Last night was the first night for weeks that we've had the light on & it still  wasn't totally dark, amazing ho you get used to the extra daylight hours
