Just a quick hello from Peru just to show tell you about the 3 days i spent sand boarding and Dune buggy rallying in the Peruvian desert. We were staying in an oasis type resort which was is surrounded by huge sand dunes. Apart from the sand boarding there is not much else to do but pan out, which was just what was needed after the trek in the Andes. Our hostel had a bar and a pool and both were used quite regular. Peruvian independence day celebrations kicked off when we arrived so there parting was excellent fun.

The sand boarding itself was good and after a few false dawns i got the hang of it fairly fast. I enjoyed it but not really pushed to go and do it again, its not half as good as surfing and certainly hasn't a patch on skating. The highlight of the sand boarding was when Nicole face planted into the ground at about 40km. It was hilarious as she is a total knob. She appartantly lost her memory but i have my doubts as she was fairly selective in what she couldn't remember, pity she didn't forget she was travelling with us!!

Anyways i came back to lima earlier in the week to do some skating and hook up with Jen who is safe and sound here beside me. Were on our way to Cusco on Thursday to try and score a cheap Inca trail as the price´s we have been quoted so far have been a wee bit silly. Take it easy
