I resigned from work this morning and it felt good. It wasn't knee jerk, I wasn't unhappy with the work I'm doing at the momemnt, it was simply a case of finding myself surrounded by nothing that I aspired to or fascinated me. My senses need to move on and to explore some more. To take the decision was quite easy, to decide when to do it was hard, and to have done it, a relief. The hope now is for gardening leave to follow.

What next??? I'm free to decide. I can say I don't know, but there are options aplenty. China for sure because I want to nail the language, and then to see what opporutnities and experiences await me. I'm cut free, breaking the mould, but it sits easy. I'm not madly bouncing all over the place excited, but calmly, contentedly excited and it feels really great.

Coming home, or at least to where I found myself at home wasn't for me this time. The urge is still there to push limits, take off, fly and be a bit scared by the unknown, and most of all to explore. Coming home allowed me to share the time of friends and family I love and cherish, but I know that will endure wherever I am. Now, at least, I'm not ready to return home and leave the journey behind.
