Holiday guide book says...

"On day 2 we set off for Zagora (approx. 3hrs). Enroute we stop for lunch in Agdz, an attractive market town with great carpets, before continue on through the beautiful Draa Valley. There is barely any space left that is not cultivated along the valley floor, with almond, date, orange, lemon and olive trees in abundance. Simple red and ochre coloured houses sit above the fertile ground. We continue through the oasis town of Zagora, once an important stopping point for camel caravans and now a gateway to the desert, before reaching our final destination of Ouled Driss where we stay in a Bedouin-style tented camp."

Early morning start saw us up with the sparrows and the mist and rain, which unfortunately lasted all day :(
A four hour drive south saw some amazing villages which eventually deteriorated into full blown desert with the road eventually disappearing then just as all was lost we came across a little village with an amazing hotel, well it would have been if it had not been for the constant drizzle, no bedowin tents but an amazing room with palm trees and a wonderful pool which me and Helen frequented despite been freezing cold, with the rest of the group thought we were potty !

An evening meal saw us finish around 9.30 and as normal all the rest of the people have gone to bed with their children so we have returned to the bar to finish off our drinks and write this blog

Wonderful news... During the meal the clouds have disappeared and we can see millions of stars, cross fingers for tomorrow as our camel safari starts. Don't expect any updates for the next two nights until we return back here as we will not have any access to wifi

Signing off and praying !
