After an hour of bumping around in the back of a truck we arrived at a large dam and lake. 40 minutes in a long tailed boat we were all thrown out and we caving !
Well this was a problem, with only tow torches and in adequate gear this made this the more fun !
This was not the usual White Scar caves tour in comfort, this was pitch black with bats, spiders, mud and water up to your knees
After the initial panics we waited and squelched (some barefoot like myself) into the deepest caverns and finally back to daylight !
After a further 40 mins on the boat we arrived at a floating hotel and had dinner (rice, curry and fish) and the spent the next few hours swimming and kakking in the lake
The lake was as hot as a bath and with the sun in full flow, this was yet another amazing experiance, with a background to die for.
After a return trip in another boat for a few of us (as the boat owners thought that 16 was overloading) we arrived back for the hour trip back in the truck to the jungle again. From 8am to 6pm an amazing day, athough all of us very tired.
We obviously picked the correct boat on the way back as the other one lost its power and was standed in the middle of the lake for 1/2 hour until they were rescued!!!
