Jungle life, wake up to the sounds of the jungle..... Hopefully the monkeys wont run off with my things (down Helen, down !)

The morning saw us arrive at 6.30 in Surat Thani and panic, we awoke at 6.20 and the guards and Chai were running around the train in panic trying to get us all out of bed, dressed and all our belongings together in less than 10 mins.  Sophie was still in bed asleep as the train pulled into the station  and as the train was only calling her it was a mass panic.

Surat Thani railway station well what can I say, well it looked like a goods train yard (see pictures) anyway 10 mins later and we were all safely on our truck to the jungle... wow, this is a amazing, I cant really describe words.

Down a jungle track saw us a what looked like a tree house complex with restaurant, sitting area with a backdrop to die for.  A river deep enough to swim in with a sheer mountain rising the other side directly to the sky.

A jungle path winded its way through the forest to tree houses on stilts and we all had individual bungalows, each just about out of sight of the other !

Cold showers being the only draw back, but due to the extreemly high humidity here these were welcome.   With monkeys running amock jumping between trees, landing on balconies this was just heaven.

With leaches to deal with (well done Rachel) and monkeys trapping Charlie and Stephe locked up in the bathroom for 10 minutes shouting for help we had some amazing times here.  Probably the most wow factor of the holiday so far.

After a quick lunch we were off again "Tubbing" as Chai said, Tubeing on large inner tubes for an hour down the meandering river with the occasional rapid through the jungle scenery.  If this is not heaven I dont know what is.

A tried wet bunch finnally arrived back for tea and a good chat before bed.

Talking about bed, it sounded like everything else but us was in bed, the jungle sounds were amazing, from frogs, monkeys, birds, insects... wow.. finally we dropped off...
