We have all arrived savely in Lima. All the bags got through and even the bus was here to take us to the hostal. Everybody very tired and gone to bed, which is why I can get on the internet. Philip had happy birthday sung to him on the bus to the hostal just after midnight. Tom Agass at the hostal to meet us. Good to see him after so long. He`s looking well and is going to take students out tomorrow for a quick look at Lima
Tomorrow the long, long bus trip up to Cusco

28 hour travellers
Great news that you have arrived safely in Peru, after a marathon 28 hours since leaving Newcastle. Now, after all your hard work organising the trip, perhaps you can relax and enjoy, Rob. Happy Birthday to Philip. Here's to Cusco. No doubt James has perfected the art of squeezing his long legs into tight airline seats and now buses!! Bye from a very dull Gosforth. Anne Walker

Rapid progress
Glad to hear that travel is going smoothly (USA included). Alex - Miles had a great time at the Grand Prix today which was topped off by a Lewis Hamilton win (photo of Miles in the Renault pits). Guess that your road travel will be more sedate! Enjoy the scenery. Best wishes from the Ingrams.

Sick of Travelling Yet?
This travelblog is a great idea. We have enjoyed reading of your epic journey and hope you have survived the short hop to Cusco!

Alex M - Had to laugh at your Heathrow photo. No change there, the only thing missing was the tv remote. Sorry, but best Wimbledon final for years. Nadal beat Federer 9-7 in the fifth.

Looking forward to hearing from you about Cusco. Have fun and take care. M,D and E.
