So, we arrived yesterday in Mabul which is a quiet tiny island that takes around 20 minutes to walk.  Prior to the dive resort here, there were only three homes prior.   Now, there is a village on stilts, a small resort on land, and our resort on stilts.  They have generators and process their water.  Everything else is brought in via boat.  Very picturesque and a great place to chill and relax.  You can tell from the lack of energy, that all is quiet here and other than the occasional, well nothing, that nothing is going on.  This was the ideal stop over for this trip and round two as we tried to kill ourselves on round one.  Having survived, we get a much need break surrounded by ocean views constantly.

The diving is somewhat interesting in that local here on Mabul, they do muck diving...yes, in the mud with what we call lots and lots of bottle fish..or disposed of bottles.  The idea is to find the very hard Macro type deals.  Can't say that Rob and I are really into this sort of deal.  The food, rooms, and service here at the resort is great and the people are again very friendly.

Sipidan is an island around 20min to 60 based on the ocean.  Just a small deal rising out of the ocean with reefs around the base and then a drop off.  You get a lot of big fish as this is the only thing around for a good distance and the food chain is in full regard.  We saw lots of sharks, turtles, school of barracuda, and jacks by the thousands.  Today, I was feeling a bit punky in the head as Rob was in the butt yesterday...guess we have the whole body covered now.  He took off for three more dives and I crashed in the sun resting up for a massage and some dives tomorrow.

We are getting a history tour of the island tomorrow after our dives.  Drying out and then heading out for two more flights via KL to Phuket, Thailand.  Will keep you posted.  Don't forget to check out those dive videos we posted.
