Today, I got to ride a train for the first time in China in 10 years. Riding the trains is the best way to travel in China. I love it because you get to see so much of the countryside and also enjoy the gentle rocking motion a train provides. It's ashame train travel in the U.S. is virtually nonexistent. The train we were on looked like a bullet train that you would see in Japan, but not as fast. But it did get us to Wuxi in a little more than 20 minutes. A few years ago this trip would have been double the time.

The trip to Wuxi went well as we were hosted by officials from Wuxi Institute of Technology. This large school focuses on workforce programs. WIT has developed partnerships with several community colleges and four year schools in the U.S.

Carolyn will post some photos of the campus and surrounding area -- small mountain and lake that was quite nice. (I only shot video.) Like CFC, the school is on the outskirts of a major city. But unlike CFC, WIT has city buses that will take students and teachers into town.
