Hello,
This should be short, probably a nice change for you!  Was woken up by the hut crew at 5:45 this morning to pack up and clear out of the dining room. Normally I use early wake up times to hit the
trail early, but today I had to wait around. Didn't get to eat the leftover breakfast until around 8 and then had to do an hour of work.  I was disappointed because I wanted to get to town earlier. Well I did put on my game face and flew up some mtns. I felt pretty good hiking despite the outrageous humidity. I sweated so much that I was drenched the whole day.

Met a day hiker on Mt Moriah and he gave me a ride down into Gorham.

So I'm finished with the Whites! Also crossed the 300 mile to go mark.  Staying at the Barn Hostel here and trying to stay cool since there's no AC. Got a shuttle to walmart to resupply and also buy a new camera.

Just sitting around now watching TV with Pine Monkey and not wanted to hike tomorrow.  But the hike must go on! Hope everything is going well for each of you! I'm hoping that soon the temps will cool down here which probably means it's also very hot where you are. Summer is not the best hiking time!
Sleep well!

Hi Rob, your stories are anything but boring. I have not read any in a while, but logged on this morning to try and catch up. Yes, it's hot and humid here in MI but at least we get a decent breeze most days along the lake. You are always welcome to come and stay again at our place and if you miss the woods, you can pitch your tent out back in our woods, mosquitos are included. I promise a really great breakfast in the morning. Take care

Wow, Robert, I looked on the map and see you will probably be in Maine today. Your stories will never be TOO long for me! Loved another moose story. Those big animals fascinate me. I'm glad you had "Gadget" to hike with for a short time. Think having someone to hike through the "ups and downs" literally and psychologically would be so much more enjoyable than be alone so much of the time now. Do you see the names of your earler hiking acquaintances in any of the logs? Just wondering if they have dropped out. It's 90+and humid for the fourth day in a row. Unusual for Michigan. Keep safe and enjoy!

Okay Rob--you have got me worried about you! Take care in this heat and humidity and try to rest as often as you can. I know you want to meet the family soon, but I am sure they will wait for you! I know you are almost finished but I want you there safe and healthly!
