Howdy!
Today was a pretty crazy day! Woke up at 6 packed up and said goodbye to Chris, he was driving back to Michigan and has to play a hockey game this evening. I hope his feet aren't too bad, he certainly put in the miles.

Hit the trail and put in some good miles in the first few hours. Some nice vistas where I took breaks and contemplated the fun I had this weekend and reaffirmed that being on the trail is right where I wanna be. (seeing people get in their cars and head home for showers, computers, music, tv, and work makes me glad that I just look for springs, worry about bad weather, and sleep under the stars listening to the music of the forest.)

Then I get another migraine, as I was reading a sign along the trail that spelled out some regulations, I suddenly had tunnel vision. Ugh, this made for a nasty few miles until I made it to the lunchtime shelter. Hiking on the Pennsylvania rocks is hard enough when you can see well, with tunnel vision a lot of the time you are left guessing and responding to what your feet feel.
The rest of the day goes well, except for the arduous descent...the steepest on the trail so far!! Now I'm down in port Clinton hanging with some other hikers. Hoping to hitch into a bigger town tomorrow to buy food.

Had a huge burger at the Port Clinton Inn...it was delicious!  Town food always rocks. Trail magic also rocks! Today a section hiker, "Misplaced," gave me an apple as mobile trail magic. There were also a bunch of sodas left in a spring from "Fiddler" a hiker from '09. Awesome stuff! All of a sudden PA is full of magic. It must be all of you readers wishing me good magic... It's working!

I'm hoping my shoes don't fall apart before I finish the brutal PA rocks later this week... I'll prolly buy new ones at that point. These have really served well...over 500 miles!
Speaking of which, I forgot to say yesterday that Katahdin, Maine is now less than 1000 miles to go! It is starting to look like I just might succeed!  Today was also mile 1200. Continue to pass these milestones and eventually I'll be there.

Hope you are all well. Thanks for all the super comments. If you want to ask more questions, if be glad to answer!
