Hello,
I'm trying to write this in my bag without getting eaten up by the bugs. It rained this afternoon and all of a sudden, bam!  The bugs were out and hungry for hiker flesh. While we are miserable now, I've heard that in a couple of months after being so thoroughly bitten, that our bodies stop reacting to the iritating bites. (something to look forward to, but in the meantime I tried to hike with my bug headnet on... Hard to see the trail. Eaten alive or fall off a cliff)

Did 23 today and my feet are getting bad again. Blisters on my toes this time! They hurt and look yellow which prolly means they are infected. I'll treat them in the morning. We are trying to get to town to celebrate "Cinco de mayo" who knows if i'll last that long.

Spent today on a couple different ridges, which meant a couple big climbs. Can't complain too much but with the heat and all, not fun. Starting to get accustomed to being absolutely drenched in sweat. Hard to stay hydrated!  I have always been a winter fan, but this totally solidifies it. I hate the hot temps, humidity, hot sun, and bugs. Of course the long days are ok :)

Passed the monument to Audie Murphy up on brushy mtn today, he was America's most decorated soldier in WWII. He died in a plane crash up here... Nice little monument stone.

Ok losing my sanity to the bugs so that's it. Hope all are well. Welcome to any new readers, In case u weren't informed, I complain a lot ;)
