Last day in san fran  we drove over golden gate bridge and took a few pics then followed the scenic drive.. awesome it took us past golf courses overlooking the city views of the bridge from parks and then up to twin peaks .. really great up there a 360` view over the whole of san fran ... what a view.. and such windy roads to climb but robin made it... we had lunch at the top looking down on the tall buildings of the financial district...

then we drove through golden gate park and then off on the h1 down to Felton where we found an awesome campsite in amongst the redwoods... and next to the river as well... very peaceful...

up late today and off to santa cruz... I loved santa cruz  firstly very quiet hardly any traffic and so clean.. the beach was awesome sandy and clean, they have the famous boardwalk amusement park here , a typical English ride and stalls arena but as it was November so it was completely closed which was great because no people.. we walked round the closed down rides and it felt like the movie with david essex ...that ll be the day ...? .. where he walks round the empty fairground...it was really warm now .. what a difference to san fran.. people were even playing beach volley ball in bikinis... it was that warm,

so after leaving santa cruz we began the Sur ... one of the best drives in the world... it goes from santa cruz to los angeles along the rugged coast line... tight corners and steep climbs and steep downhills too,, following the mountains and going across bridges and creeks .. I was amazed at the number of houses there were perched on the edge of the cliffs.. very nice houses probably worth millions but they looked awesome and miles from civilization...

we stopped at an awesome bay for a walk ,with cliffs sand and waves surfers would love.

Eventually we stopped in a lay-by to see the sun set over the water and we spent the night there... what an amazing road
