hi all... thanks for reading my blog I have had 125 hits so far..
we arrived in San Fran RV park at about 2.30pm so had time to catch a bus downtown and do some exploring..the bus went over golden gate bridge which was great and then we walked to fisherman's wharf on the waterfront , an area where industrial buildings have been turned into tourist shopping areas where street entertainers are plentiful and the piers have a range of cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes..
we enjoyed a display from boudins a famous bakers showing us how to make animal shapes with bread and talking about their famous sour dough .. we also saw magicians and spray paint artists doing amazing pictures of golden gate bridge..and seals who have taken up residence on one of the jettys ..
we enjoyed fish and chips on pier 39 ..the most popular pier, there are 45..!!.. it was dark when we came out so decided to walk up steep hills to see the pacific heights, before catching the bus back,an area where the houses/flats are worth millions... they are so different in style and so ornate and the streets are so clean ... also near here is the famous zigzag street which had queuing traffic winding all the way back up very cool..
what an interesting first day in SAN Fran...

Hi you get around very quick lol, the tram looks just like the trams in Canada, love the bread shapes very cool, the wheels are a different way of getting round but they look good not much health and safety about them, looking forward to more places and pics. love Jen.x
