We continued east towards Budapest, through Gyor and Esztergom, which had one of the most awesome cathedrals we'd seen (see pics), right on the banks of the Danube. All gold and large cupolas (ie. domed ceilings - oh, the Hungarians, how they love an oversized cupola on their churches).
Further along the riverbank we stopped at Visegrad for the night at this citadel over a bend of the river, watching the sunset as we looked over to Slovakia. God, we sometimes pick the best spots to park up! Being a little 'citadel-ed' out we didn't bother going in, but we did however stop by the summer toboggan track. A bit like the one we saw in Slovenia but this one was essentially a large plastic tray on free wheels with banked corners and just a brake between you and oblivion. Cool fun (especially when you see how fast you can go without chickening out and using the brake!)
