Eventually, we got a day and half off, and found this lovely spot on a farmer's olive grove, overlooking the Umbrian hillside.  We couldn't help ourselves though, and managed to spend most of the time walking around little local villages, buying local olive oil and truffles, and tinkering around with the van.

We spent some time in Assisi and Perugia (with an obligatory stop at the Baci factory - my God, the smell!!!).  No matter that we had to tag along with a bunch of Italian school children - the fact that there was a dirty great bowl of Baci's at the end was all we needed!
