From Glen
No photos are available of St Augustine as it was a really quick coffee and tour through this historic town. Founded in 1565 by the Spainish (Ponce de Leon) it has changed hands several times over the years, French, British, Spainish, American and American Indian. Suffice to say, it's a great place to visit and is certified as America's oldest city.
So, why the quick visit and speedy coffee - well being only 1hr into our trip it was bound to be a quick pit stop but it wasn't helped by GG's perfect ordering of brekky sandwiches and extra strength latte's ....so Cliffy and GG are all dressed in 'their biker gear' and GG makes a 'sweeping gesture' with his hand describing the lovely surrounds of Casa Marina, where his work function was and gesticulating where the statue of Ponce de Leon was.......only to knock over a high-end Italian, antique very special sparkling water......that was sitting on the counter... Smash!! - the counter clerk said she didn't want any trouble.....we got out of there very quick.

What a beautiful place St Augustine is, more like Europe then America!!
People who have had a coffee or a drink with me are aware that I sometimes have been known to spill a bit at times. Well Glen totally outdid me and smashed a bottle of mineral water that was on the counter all over the floor. I quietly laughed to myself as Glen helped to clean it up and said how sorry he was thinking this was my usual trick.
