Glen:
So the day began with the early rising of our troop of girls - like clockwork Asha, Eden and finally McKinley managed to let us know they were awake between six and six thirty ....... on a Sunday. I managed to let Lisa have a sleep-in - guiltily knowing that she wouldn't be getting much chance of a sleep in for the next six weeks.
Plenty of work to get done before Cliffy arrives tonight; I call working in the garage sweat-shop duty as the temperature soars to about 39C due to the aircon unit compressor and main vent in the back of the garage. Outside temperature is about 35C with 90 per cent humidity - typical Florida swamp summer weather. Good thing the bikes have airconditioning!
I plan on greeting Cliffy with a couple of Coopers Sparkling to slake his thirst upon arrival, poor bugger he's had 26hrs of travel............. in business class (perks of working for Virgin!).
The bikes needed a bit of work like fuse replacement, tweaking the suspension for the touring load, charge the batteries, replace a few bits here and there......in between sweating and tweaking (no, not the meth kind) I had a great day playing with the kids.
Cliffy arrived about 1115pm and was very appreciative of the cold beverages! Chatted, planned and felt like it was Christmas. Roll on Tuesday17th July when we head south for our dry run to Miami, Key West and Naples........to ease into the bikes
