On our way out of the country, we stopped in Vancouver to have lunch with my Aunt Doris and pick up some (French) books at Kidsbooks on Broadway. I also wanted to pick up a French/English dictionary and a French dictionary that would be a bit more portable than the Micro(not) Roberts we have at home.

Crossing the border was truly anti-climactic, for which we are grateful however it does not make for interesting reading.

Just over the border, we found our "resort" in the rainy night.  In the dark there really was no appreciating the scenery.  We all went for an abbreviated dip in the outdoor pool then back up to the room for our first “one-room schoolhouse” homework session.  It was here that I realized that I actually bought TWO French/English dictionaries.  So we can add that to our tally of oopses.

Also on that list is the fact that the extra tire rim (in addition to the sparesaver) that we bought with the intention of having a tire put on when we got our (4) new tires, is the WRONG SIZE.  But we did get some new pants for Adam – turns out he didn't own a single pair on non-denim pants.

Bon Voyage Klimchuk Brown family. We are going to miss you! I am sorry we didn't have a chance to get together before your roadtrip began, but it is pretty cool that we can keep in touch this way. I'm going to set up an account for our trip so maybe we can share some of our travels along the way. I don't know who is going to be left in Squamish during the Olympics. Everyone I've talked to is leaving town.... Happy motoring and Merry Christmas to you all.
