We've gone as far upriver as the Pegasus can take us, so this morning we boarded a smaller boat in order to visit the Baboon Islands, which are, confusingly, home to a chimpanzee preservation project. While we were joined by two park rangers, who helped with the spotting, we sadly were unable to see any of the 87 chimps on the islands. We did however see a handful of hippos, a crocodile and tons of birds.
