On Friday night we boarded the M/Y Pegasus, our 24-cabin ship, in Dakar and headed south along the coast. On Saturday we awoke in the small port of Djifer, where we disembarked for a field trip to the villages of Joal & Fadiouth, famous for their shell island cemetery.
