Nite-ize headlamp review

I recieved this headlamp a few weeks ago. I replaced my Petzl with this headlamp, have not looked back since.
The light output is great, this unit lights the path far beyound the true need of any night hiker.
The ease of use has been nice, even with gloves on - a simple slide of the finger will get you through the different light options.
Adjusting brightness manually is as simple as holding your finger down on the swipe pad.....instant access to what ever level of brightness you desire, in white and red light :) .
Being water proof.....love that! No worries of where to store it, no worries of how long to hike in downpours while night hiking, and the swipe pad still works without issues while wet!
Changing out the 3aaa batteries is easy, thanks to the flip latch on the battery compartment. So far I only installed the first set. I put in my usual brand of battery, so as to give an honest comparison of my other light.......I still have not changed the batteries!
If I had to pick a con about this light......this is tough, I am forced to be really picky here.....I really can't think of a bad aspect to this light. More use will need to be done, to find something I don't like.

The price is the shocker here, $35.00! I paid a lot more for my old headlamp....and it was not as nice as this unit, or as bright.

With 3,750 miles to go on this hike - I will see how this unit holds up.......so far no issues....and as a person who does not like change.....this headlamp is a great change to my hiking experience so far.
