Bob got up extra early to join us on the hike

Gorge hike was a highlight of our Greece trip

Guys show amazing strength holding boulder
Hike took 4-7 hours;had 3 blisters
Hike was long and tough but no mishaps
I didn't see anyone heading that way
I loved the colors and feel of this photo
I was excited to spot a rare kri-kri goat
Iron Gates where gorge is only 3 meters wide
More than half of our group tackled challenge
Often billed as the longest gorge in Europe
Old bridge was oddity in dry river bed
Olive groves remain from residents moved in 1962
Public transit worked well as we took bus&ferry
River created gorge but not in the summertime
Ruins thousands of years old were scattered
Still amazed at all of the rock walls in Greece
The cold water provided temporary relief from heat

The geology of the gorge fascinated us
The walls of the gorge started closing in on us
There were thousands of these rock creations
These pros stayed with me the whole way
This mother kri-kri found a safe spot in the rock
Town of Agia Roumeli is at end;caught ferry here
View from start was stunning
Walls rise up 300meters but only 3meters wide
We debated difference between canyon&gorge
We saw a total of 5 kri-kri during the hike
We stopped often to just enjoy the views
