On the weekend we went with the Queensland Teacher Exchange folks for the weekend to North Stradbroke Island. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side and it rained for much of the trip.

We did have a great night (thanks to Katona and Lauren for babysitting) with the other exchangees; Karen and Randall, Steve and Lori, Ebony, Marsha and Nancy and Boyd- having  a few bevvies and comparing notes. There was some mention of a calendar being started, but I'll keep you posted if we decide to get that route, discounts may be available~  ;)

The gorge walk was also amazing, of course the one time I forget my camera....and it managed not to rain that whole time!

Had some good laughs with our housemates (Lori the cat!!) and Lucas had a great time with the girls. We saw some roos out in the wild and Rob introduced the Tim Tam Slam to all those willing!!!

Since then, I have gotten my approval to relief/supply teach in the State schools!!!!! HOORAY!!! Now we'll see what I can get for hours. I have also done a bunch of ESL teaching which I am still getting used to, but it's not so bad~

Lucas was the award winner for school this week!!! I won't get into how prim, proper and boring the assembly for that was.....YIKES!!!!!!

And Rob is still adjusting the Australian way.....but now that the rain has stopped (well mostly) his drive in is much more enjoyable!!

UPCOMING:

Dad and Pam are heading out tomorrow, after a good 2 plus weeks traveling - it's been so nice having family here!! Luckily we don't have to wait too long. Mom and Gerrit arrive on Friday for the month!!
3 weeks left of term till Easter break!!!!!!
