Hello everyone,

Yesterday I was rejoined by Haley and Grant for a final day in Berlin.  We started the day with a 3.5 hr free walking tour.  It was fantastic!  Some of the sites we hit were Bebelplatz, site of the Nazi book burning, and a vacant lot which happened to stand right overtop of the bunker where Hitler killed himself.  A great idea for anyone planning a visit.  We stayed at a great hostel called Circus hostel.  Amenities included Wi-fi, breakfast, a David Hasselhoff shrine and Das Boot (a 2 litre jug of beer shaped like a boot).  Grant doesn't remember much of the night after ordering one of these.  We hit a few new pubs and again the night ended as almost all of mine had in Berlin thus far, with eating Turkish Kabap.  You have to check out Mustafa's, best Kabap in town.

This morning we quickly took in the East Side Gallery and a Berlin wall memorial before I left on a 5 hour train ride to Prague.  This is the nicest train ride I've had so far.  After Dresden fields turned to forest and a mountain valley with a river running through it.  I even saw a castle along the way.  I got to Prague with just enough time to have a fantastic Czech meal and walk the Charles Bridge into Old Town.  The setting is pretty outstanding if you look above the sea of tourists that includes a pretty big number of drunk Brits.  I even saw one get carried away on a stretcher while 10 others were shirtless around him ready to fight.  I didn't know if I was in Prague or outside of Ezzie's in Medicine Hat 10 years ago.  Already I can tell we're going to have to get some bikes and get away from the crowds.  I have high hopes for Prague though.

Ryan

P.S:  Paul, thanks again for a killer week in Berlin.
