Where I stayed
We have been staying in Interlaken since Friday night, November 14th. On Monday, November 17th, we went Canyon Jumping in the Swiss Alps. It was through a company called Alpine Raft. We jumped off a platform and free fell 150 feet and then swung 10-12 feet above the canyon floor at 75-80 miles per hour. It was such a thrill. I am so glad that I did it. I can't even explain the experience. I was really excited and not even nervous until I was all hooked up to the rope and the guy set down the rope and stepped to the side and said, "Whenever you're ready." I kind of tensed up and then I just ran off the platform. It was like I didn't even realize what was happening until I got half way across the canyon. My adrenaline was pumping so fast that when I grabbed the rope to pull myself over to the ladder, my arms were shaking. It was an unforgettable experience.
We also spent some time walking around Interlaken and I got a Swiss Army Knife with my name engraved on it. We went to Lucerne for a day too. It was really foggy the day we were in Lucerne, so that was kind of disappointing. But, we were able to use our Eurail to take boat ride on Lake Lucerne. That was really relaxing, but cold. I love Switzerland and think that it would be fun to go back to a little earlier in the fog when it isn't so cold.
