Hello there!

The patient is doing well and ready for another adventure, but without sea urchins!

We took the boat to Sipan, the 3rd and largest of the Elafiti Islands, stopping at Lopud to drop off day-trippers, and then continuing on to Sipan, for a total journey from Kolocep of 45 minutes.

The boat pulled into the small harbor and we looked at each other and said "this will be a short visit". The island, while pretty, does not even come close to the beauty of Kolocep. We grabbed a cold drink and soon realized that there was nothing to see here on the Island of Sipan. The harbor was pretty, there was a neat old monastary but after we saw that we werer done and yearned to get back to our island of Kolocep!

It was time for lunch so we grabbed some food and Ryan had fresh shrimp which we swear was caught right before they cooked them! We caught the 1pm boat back home.

We decided we needed to get serious about our next and final stop, Santorini, Greece. We spent several hours (mostly Laurie finding stuff on the web and sharing what she found with Ryan who was diligently going through our pictures, sorting, deleting, cleaning up shop). After many hours, emails and phone calls we were able to put together quite an elaborate travel schedule to take us to Greece.

It is not easy getting from Croatia to Greece. The problem is that you HAVE to return to Bari, Italy - big fat UGH! We had not planned on that but were left with no choice. Our journey will surely be interesting and of course fun... always fun! So after securing what we think is a great find in Santorini and after speaking with the owner of the 20-room studio village on the island of Karterados, we are really excited to get to Greece, yet sad to leave this lovely paradise of Kolocep Island.

After all that travel work we were ready for some pool time and before we knew it, 7:00 pm rolled around and it was time to peel ourselves off the lounge chairs and clean up for dinner.

Tomorrow holds no plans except to firm up some of our ferry connections to Greece and more snorkeling. Ryan REALLY wants to find that nudist beach so tomorrow we will conquer that!

Today's walk: 2.8 miles
Total for the journey (241.3 miles, 46 days)

Love,
Laurie and Ryan

the look
yep...I've seen that look before and you really do look like me right now!! Go figure. I'm sure the tootsies are tired...as they should be walking up and down the stairs in flip flops. I know the Montrail sandals are comfy but the stair action? Not sure about that. Hopefully your arches will still be in tact when you return to the real world! Have fun on the long arduous trek to Greece. I hope the paradise on the other end is worth the schlep! Jilly poo xox
