Our flight arrived at CDG at approximately 1pm. As we were carrying all our luggage on our backs, all we had to do was pick up our rental car and hit the road in the direction of Mont St. Michel. A bit of a mix up of where to go and get the car, but after that we were on our way. We had a little silver Renault Cleo, soon to be nicknamed "Timbit". Lunch (water and sandwiches)was grabbed at a convenience store in the airport but we just didn't care - we just wanted to be on country roads. GPS helped us get through the center of Paris and onto the N12. That GPS never steered us wrong!

By 8pm we were thoroughly exhausted. We tried a few places along the way to get a room but were having no luck. Bagnoles de l'Orne was a town I had read about and was hoping to check out, so we left the N12 and into this town. We pulled up between two hotels and Hotel Christol was the one we decided to check out first. It was not overpriced, simple, clean with a shower. After being awake for 36 hours, this was all we needed. We took a bit of a walk but not much was open that time of night, but we managed to find a place (I believe it was called Le Lido) to get some supper - pizza and wine! It was nice to just relax and do some people watching...food was good too. Back to the room to sleep!!!!
