We had heard nothing but good things about this chilled out beach town in the north west of Spain, and it turns out they were true. We didn't really do alot here because we had a vague idea that run with the bulls was going to be heaps crazy so we wanted to rest. The first day we didn't do much just relaxed around the old quarter (touristy bit) of San Sebastien. Next day we wandered around the sites, which really just included the two beaches (one was a surf beach, one was a family beach) and hiked up a hill to see the statue of christ that overlooked the town and that was about it. That afternoon we wandered over one of the many tapas bar around the place and got initiated into the whole tapas thing. Which really just is walking into the bar, finding a seat, and eating and drinking. The bar workers keep track of what we were eating and drinking and gave us the tab at the end. Those various little tapas snacks can start to cost a bit after a few!!!
