Another bright and early start to begin our journey today, this time, heading back into Oslo. Our airport this time was located in Alta, about a 3 hour drive away, again with Norwegian Air. I've said each time, never again (Norwegian Air) and yet there is always a next time. This time? A delay of about 1.5 hours so we ended up arriving nearly 2 hours behind schedule, cutting into our free time in Oslo...oh well, it is what is. Other than that, it was a beautiful drive to the airport in the snow as we said farewell to the Arctic and the year round winter wonderland.
With limited time in Oslo our 2nd trip in, we decided just to the stick to the main shopping street and to grab some dinner before our coach took us back to the hostel. It was the makings of a long day, especially one where tons of Justin Bieber fans were clustered around the train station which is at one end of the shopping street. JB mania, and we definitely didn't want to be around when he actually was performing in front of the mobs.
As a whole, Oslo didn't impress me too much, unfortunately it's one city where I'd be quite fine not coming back to, unless I needed to transfer flights back to the north or perhaps Tromso. It didn't seem to hold much more for me as it seems we've done and seen what we needed to.
A bit of shopping and a good dinner, we were on our way home for a good night in and repacking for the next leg into Sweden.
