Well, the beach is not as good as Bali. But something interesting about Anyer is Krakatau Volcano. It is the volcano which made history in 1883 when the earthquake of the eruption can be felt in Australia. It was the largest eruption recorded in human history.
Thanks to the volcano activity, in the area there is a hot mineral spring. The spring now become Sanghyang Indah Spa Resort, where you can enjoy the spa therapy.When you have time, you can arrange a trip to Krakatau volcano with the resort. It is always interesting to go there because sometimes the volcano is a little "coughing" and maybe you are lucky enough to capture a good picture of it.
It was Friday evening after work. We arrived at the resort after dark. We got a villa with two bedrooms, a kitchen and a living room. We put our snack and groceries in the fridge then went to sleep.
The first thing we did in the morning is swimming. They also have tennis court but we don't play tennis. If you don't feel like doing exercise, you can have a good book and laying lazily near the pool.
After breakfast, we went to spa. I put on batik kimono and walked to the hot spring. A trainer taught me how to stretch before soaking into the dark hot spring water. The trainer helped me step by step into the water where there were some pulsating water massaging my body. From the feet to the back and shoulder. The nice massaging was in the back and shoulders. I always feel tension in these body parts every time I have stress.
We had lunch at Midori Japanese restaurant, not far from the resort. This nice Japanese also has a family massage parlor. The sushi was great because from years I have known that the owner always uses best quality ingredient to satisfy the customers. It was not fushion but traditional ones. The wasabi was the good quality one so it made me cried and steaming in the nose.
After lunch we drove back to Jakarta. A little holiday finished.
