After another full English breakfast at the hotel, we walked over to the amusement parks on the foreshore of Blackpool. Bought some Blackpool Rock (of course!). Boys decided they wanted to go to the Sandcastle Water Park, so we spent a couple of hours there - all the water slides and rides were sampled as M and I patiently looked on. Moved on and met up with Micky & Lewis at the Pleasure Beach Amusement Park, where we went to an ice dancing show called 'Hot Ice' which was very entertaining. Then it was on to sample all the rides in the park - plenty of roller-coasters and looping things for the adrenalin junkies amongst us. Don't know who had more fun - me or the kids! Tom and I went on the tallest roller-coaster in the Europe which was pretty wild! After all the excitement of the theme parks, it was off for tea at a local pub with Mickey & Lewis and their good friends George & Jean. A lovely meal and then back for coffee & chocolates at Mickey's place. To round off the evening we toured the amazing 'Illuminations' - a 5 mile stretch of the coastal road lined with all sorts of street lights and displays - most impressive. Said our goodbye's to Mickey and into bed after a great day.
