A big day today.  Train from St Neots with Chris to help as porter for
the myriad of luggage we've got for the continent.  Au revoir to Chris
and onto the Eurostar bound for Lille,France.  Very quick crossing
(1hr30mins) - Michelle didn't really realize that the 'dark bit' was
the Channel Tunnel!  Arrived in Lille @ 1230, had told the lease company
(Peugeot) in very poor French that I needed the car @ 1400, so we had a
bit of a wait at Lille station.  Michelle managed to order burgers and
chips for lunch for us all while we waited.

Baptism of fire when the Puegeot arrived - double parked with its hazard lights on in
front of the train terminal!  A quick bon voyage from the deliverers
and we were on our own.  I must admit it felt bit weird driving a
left-hand drive manual, and will admit to a few 1st to 4th gear
changes!.  Car (Peugeot Expert Teepee) is going to be great I think -
plenty of room to camp out of the back of.

Put our trust in
Mr Garmin (GPS) who promptly led us to the nearest service station to
fill up.  Spotted a big shopping centre on the way out of Lille, so
stocked up on groceries and wine!  Headed for Paris on the  A1 motorway
(3 lanes), travelling  at the posted 130kph - worked out the  cruise
control on the way  - bonus.  Trusted the Garmin again all the way to
the entrance of Camping International Paris - great job.  Bit hairy
driving through the 'burbs of Paris - bit hard to judge how wide the
car is!  Tea and a walk along  the banks of the Seine . . . .
