Our tour guide told us that this is the most populous city in the world. It is an industrial centre, with many factories there. Then he took a call on his cell phone, then told us all the same stuff again.
The plans were for us to visit a park and the pandas here before flying to Xian. Unfortunately our boat couldn't get all the way here, so we were let off at a city downriver, then a bus drove us to Chonqing, leaving us only time to visit one of the intended locations. Pandas, here we come!
Although this city seems less affluent and less modern, clean and flashy than Shanghai, the better half tells me that it is probably interesting at night, as there were red chinese lanterns everywere, as well as small lights stretched between the lanterns. If I have misquoted, I am sure I will hear about it.
