September 16th:We drove in five and a half hour to Banyuwangi in a minibus with five persons and a driver. We arrived in Banyuwangi at 13:00 and we took a ferry to Bali. Lots of small boys on the ferry were diving coins that had been thrown by the passengers.

When we arrived in Bali we took a minibus to the bus station and from there we took a bus to the hotel. Taman Sai had only one bungalow so we walked to Pandok Sari and booked two bungalows for five persons. Beautiful bungalows with private a garden and a private beach for 68000 each (23000 per person).

September 17th: we left Pemuteran to go snorkeling

at the northern part of the island. The water was very clear and the reef was good for snorkeling. In the evening we were invited for a Balinese "party" in our village. Everybody was dressed well and we all wear a sarong. They put rice on our forehead and sprinkle water over our bodies.
