21-11: na het ontbijt loop ik richting Plaza de Congreso voor een citytour. Op een speciaal punt komen een aantal toeristen tesamen die onder begeleiding van een gids te voet een gratis rondleiding krijgen. Onze gids heet Virginia, is een Portenos (inwoner van BA) en heeft een enthousiast verhaal. Op een aantal belangrijke plekken in de stad wordt er gestopt en geeft zij allerlei interessante informatie. De groep bestaat uit een groot aantal verschillende nationaliteiten maar de amerikanen hebben dit keer de overhand. Al met lopen we zon 2,5 uur en krijg weer een ander beeld van de stad. We eindigen de tour bij de Obelisk en iedereen is vrij om een tip te geven. Aangezien de gids het hiervan moet hebben zijn de meeste bereid om een bijdrage te leveren. Ik loop nog wat door de stad en kom uiteindelijk moe terug in het hostel waar ik nog wat tijd doorbreng op het dakterras van het hostel. Hier worden ook tangolessen gegeven aan de liefhebbers maar daar waag ik mij maar niet aan. Onder het genot van een tangomuziekje aanschouw ik eea vanaf de kant.
22-11: ik ben vandaag van plan om een fietstourtje te doen met bicycleta naranja maar de routes die zij aanbieden heb ik grotendeels al gedaan. Ik besluit mijn weg al lopend te vervolgen naar een natuurpark dat achter Puerto Madero ligt. Het park is prachtig en er kunnen diverse looproutes worden gevolgd. Mijn route loopt voor een deel langs de Rio de la Plata waar de boten richting Uruguay oversteken. Deze trip laat ik voorlopig aan mij voorbijgaan aangezien ik momenteel even genoeg heb van het reizen en op zoek ben naar wat rust. Dit park is de ideale manier om het drukke BA te ontvluchten en ik zie dan ook menig Porteno hardlopen. Het is heerlijk weer dus ideaal om hier wat tijd door te brengen. Onderweg zie ik nog een grote varaan de weg oversteken maar verder dan wat vogels kom ik geen dieren tegen. s-Middags breng ik nog wat tijd door op het dakterras van het hostel. Het is snikheet en moet er nog niet aan denken om naar het donkere en koude Nederland terug te keren. Morgen zit het erop en vlieg ik met Allitalia via Milaan terug naar Schiphol. Het was wederom een prima vakantie in een prachtig en relatief veilig land met behulpzame inwoners, goed eten en een prima infrastruktuur. Kortom, een aanrader en ik ben zeker van plan om hier nog een terug te keren en een ander deel van dit inmense land te bezoeken. Asta luego Argentina.

20-11: Despite the fact that my room is beside the reception I slept well and I awake from my watch with the alarm still on. After breakfast I walk towards Plaza Dorrego where every Sunday a market is held. It is already very busy with all kinds of stalls and there are several performances with the tangodancers too. In short, a great atmosphere. The market is immense and is now jammed with tourists and locals who spend their hard-earned pesos. In the afternoon I bring a visit to the La Boca neighborhood. As part of this district are not completely safe for tourists, I take a taxi to Caminito. This is where the workers lived and they paint their houses in different bright colors to make their lives happier. Meanwhile it has become an touristy attraction and it's very busy too. Again many shows and restaurants including Boca supporters who are preparing for the big match tonight. This is the biggest football club in Argentina and has a huge fancrowd. I try to get tickets for the match against the frontrunner, but unfortunately it appears not to be succeeding. I hear that the cards on the black market for hundreds dollars be sold and don't want to pay that. I walk through Puerto Madero to get some info for boattrips to Uruguay. A return ticket costs 60 euros and you will return the same day. When I return from the center I see many busses with Boca supporters who make a lo of noise. It had been a great experience to be here. To get a bit of the atmosphere I watched the game, which ends in 0-0, on tv in the hostel.
21-11: After breakfast I walk toward Plaza de Congreso for a city tour. At a special point a number of tourists come together to take a free guided walking tour. Our guide, called Virginia, is a Porteno (resident of BA) and has an enthousiastic story. We stop on several important places in the city l stop and she gives all sorts of interesting information. The group consists of many different nationalities, but the Americans have the upper hand this time. Overall, we walked for 2.5 hours and I get another view of the city. We end the tour at the Obelisk, and everyone is free to give a tip. I returned to the hostel where I spend some time on the roof of the hostel. There are also tango lessons but I pass. While enjoying a tango music I watch it from my chair.
22-11: I am now planning to do with a bicycletour with bicycleta naranja but the routes they offer are not interesting for me. I decide to continue my way on foot to a park that lies behind Puerto Madero. The park is beautiful and several walking routes can be followed. My route is partly along the Rio de la Plata where boats cross direction to Uruguay. I didn't take the trip because I've had enough of traveling and am looking for some peace. This park is the ideal way to escape the busy BA and I see many Portenos running. It's lovely weather here and it is perfect for some time to spend. Along the way I see a big lizard crossing the road, but beyond that I do get to see many animal except for birds. In the afternoon I spend some time on the roof of the hostel. It is very hot and think of the dark and cold in the Netherlands. Tomorrow I will fly to Milan and from there back to Schiphol. It was another great holiday in a beautiful and relatively safe country with helpful people, good food, a great culture and excellent infrastructure. In short, a must and I definitely plan to return here to see another part of this immense country. Asta luego Argentina.

Je verhalen waren erg leuk om te lezen. Vooral met de foto's erbij kreeg ik een goed beeld van hoe je het daar hebt ervaren. En wat een leuke maar vaak ook prachtige foto's heb je gemaakt. Echt heel mooi!
