Jamie--I know Ty and Joan will be making their entries sometime tonight or tomorrow!  Kate and I were both awakened early by our cats this morning, so we started cooking up a big breakfast for Ty and Joan.  Marcia and Barb came over to join us for breakfast, Marcia on her trike, Barb on her bike.  We all feasted well, and then Joan and Ty began reloading their bikes for their homeward trek.  They gave me a "chuck wagon" picture holder with a picture of we three travelers.  Don't know how they snuck that one by me!!!  It's a great souvenir of the trip--thank you both!!!!  Buenos suerte for the last leg of your trip, mi amigas!!

Joan -- It was great to have breakie with everyone this morning.  We got to see Barb and Marcia's new wheels and have a visit.  Thanks Kate and Jamie for your hospitality and for guiding us through some pretty heavy traffic.  Nice detour, Jamie ... thanks

We were very sleepy as we traveled northward.  It was very hot which didn't help and weather threatened to open up on us.  We decided to stop early and get some much needed rest... great decision... the storms were wicked!!!  We were happy to be safely in a hotel when it hit.  Nice to get some cool down and rest time.

Heading out in the morning for Fort Erie.

Joan called home late this aft.

She said it was hot there and fatigue was setting in and they were in Ohio.

They decided to stay over in Columbus and head back early in the morning,. I think that was a good call, the weather is unsettled along the route tonight and I have learned from safety seminars at work over the last few years that fatigue on the road is as bad as driving or riding while intoxicated. Better to rest up and head out feeling good the next morning, I think.

Hopefully the weather is better in the morning.

Ah, I WONDERED if you would "meet up" with those storms. Just as well you found a place to rest. You'll get an earlier start in the morning.

How WONDERFUL it was to see all of you this morning. It was a treat, really....you're like celebrities...I've been SO into this blog for weeks...what will I do when you're done with it? LOL!

Safe journey tomorrow, Ty and Joan! :)

Welcome home, road warriors! A tougher trip than any of you expected, but lots of adventures and beauty to remember, good times and friends helping each other through. Well done!

Joan and Ty, it was so fine to see you again! You looked healthy and somewhat tanned, fit and in good shape...it's rather an anti-climactic stop for you in Columbus, but those clouds were so menacing that I would have been hard pressed to continue, too! We have some real doozies here!
So glad you got home safely, Jamie, and that the trike is, too. I hope you never have any more trouble with the stator!
The pictures are lovely...you certainly traveled through some wonderful country!
Looking forward to more pics and the end of your journey, though I will certainly miss this blog!
Hugs all around, and thanks to Kate for a great party yesterday!
