Jamie--We made a long haul today!!!!  We rode all the way from Hannibal, MO, to Cincinnati, OH, in one long day!!!  We got the bikes packed up by a little after 8am, had a big breakfast at a nearby gas station and headed down highway 72 through Illinois, heading for I-74 on the other side of the state.  We missed a turnoff somehow and wound up having to reroute for a small segment of the trip on Illinois rural roads through small towns.  We had a late lunch around 3pm at a Panera near Champlaign, IL.  Soon after that we found I-74 and busted for Cincinnati!!  Just one stop (I think) for a break and gas fill-up somewhere in Indiana, west of Indianapolis.  At that last stop Ty cut a finger end off one of her worn out gloves to make a wind sleeve for my helmet mike, which had been giving us problems for the whole trip.  It worked like a charm!  For the first time both Joan and Ty could hear what I was saying on the CB clearly!  We got into Cincinnati late--I have no idea what time, but it must have been around 10pm.  It feels good to be home, I was homesick!!

I forgot to mention DoggieDoo.  I strapped and bungied him to the top of my tour tank before leaving Hannibal.  A man that was staying in the same hotel as us came outside and started asking about our bikes as we were packing them.  I activated DoggieDoo and the man doubled over cracking up!!!   He went back into the hotel and brought out all his family and friends to show them DoggieDoo singing on the back of EbyRose.  He laughed as hard the last time as he did the first time.  DoggieDoo got lots of attention at each stop we made on the way to Cincinnati.

Joan -- We had a great day for riding... hot as usual but things went well.  We made some good time but we were chased by storms and led by Jamie`s anxiety to get home to Kate LOL  We kept hearing so and so many more miles to not Cincinnati but to Kate.

We parked in the walkway... take a look at the pictures.  They were taken the next morning.  EbyRose, Jamie`s bike was nestled in her home.  Rainbow their cat was nestled in my luggage.
