Where I stayed
Today was a long hard ride. We did about 300 miles again today. Winds probably 20 miles per hour right in our faces most of the day. Blasts of crosswinds that almost kicks you off the road. Whoever called Chicago the windy city never rode a motorcycle across Kansas. The good news is that we didn't get rained on today. Yea!
We did see farms of windmills. Hundreds of them. Also saw some oil wells. They look a lot smaller than the ones on TV. Maybe those are in Texas. As they say; everything's bigger in Texas.
We did stop for some ice cream. DQ banana splits. We had dinner at Red Robin even though there was a Denny's in town. Our Waiter/bartender Brandon Hall is also a biker. He rides an 03 red Honda Shadow 750 Spirit. Erin and Randa our hostesses offered some suggestions for things to see in this area which wasn't very much until you get to Kansas City. So here we are in another Motel 6 but without internet. Somehow someone or something flipped the switch off and the night clerk doesn't know how to reset it. So the blog and photos will be a little late. Sorry. Dang internet. Didn't Al Gore invent that thing anyway. Maybe they told him where the switch is.
