G'Day Tennis Fans!

Day four of the Australian Open at Vodafone has another great line up of star players!  The first match had the other half of the Williams sisters, Venus, playing France's Camille Pin.  Venus showed a lot less "Bling" but no less attitude than her sister Serena!  The William's sisters are great tennis players and they certainly let everyone know that!  The large number of photographers that arrived for the match added to the drama that something exciting was going to happen!  If anything, it added more intensity to the match!  For the fans that is!

Venus Williams, seeded #8 for the tournament, didn't bring her "A" game to the match and Camille Pin had several opportunities to win the first set!  Unfortunately, she didn't take advantage!  As a result, Venus recovered and her game improved to win the match in two straight sets.  But, it was exciting to think early in the match that a major upset could be in the making!

The second match had crowd favourite Daniela Hantuchova of Slovakia play Alize Cornet of France!  The tall, attractive Hantuchova, seeded #9, had very little problem defeating Cornet.  Go Daniela!

The large number of boisterous Serbian fans dressed in their countries flag and colors pretty much let the crowd know that a Serbian match was up next!  Popular Novak Djokovic of Serbia, seeded #3 for the Open, showed why he's highly seeded as his serves often exceeded 200 km hr.  He had little difficulty in defeating his opponent, Simone Bolelli of Italy in three straight sets!  With the afternoon sun bearing down, the win couldn't come soon enough for those fans in the unshaded area!

The Final match of the day had Argentina's David Nalbandian, seeded #10, play Australian Peter Luczak.  This match was highly anticipated by the Aussie crowd as they wanted to see another Aussie join Lleyton Hewitt into the next round of mens singles!  Again, the chants of Ozzy, Ozzy, Ozzy, Oi, Oi, Oi were heard throughout the match!  Even the Mexican Wave had a few rounds around the Vodafone!

Although Luczak came out like a 'bull in a china shop' and won the first set, which had the Aussie crowd in a frenzy, he faded pretty quickly after that as Nalbandian got his game together and won the next three sets!  The crowd left disappointed wondering "what if.."!

"Love the Excitement, Live the Dream" !!!
