Yes we are home at last. Good flight from Brisbane and arrived at Cairns Airport a few hours later. Our housesitters were at the airport to greet us and take us back to our house. Lots to talk about of course. We were both pretty tired , due to all the time changes, but did not manage to get to bed early, so much to natter about. So here we are wondering where the last six months have gone and reflecting on everything we saw and did. A lot of people have asked us " What was the highlight of our trip " The only answer to  that is " All of it ". Certain things have become very special to reflect on, the main one being  The Emirates Stadium and watching the game being played. Just the most special atmosphere there . Also the ritual prior tp the game like eating at the Greasy Spoon ( still don't know the real name of the place ) walking to the Stadium and the disection of the game on the way home.  Our favourite city is still London, but a lot of that is due to Graham and Carol, who so kindly led the way and showed us what the city is all about, and how to experience it. Thanks so much to you both. While I am on that path it is time to once again  thank the people who made it possible for us to enjoy the last 6 months.
A great big thank you to Rick's brother Graham and of course Carol. Once again you were always there for us to lean on and help in any way you could . Thanks for all the help with Charlie as well, we know you miss her too. Thoroughly enjoyed our time together in Spain and will always look upon the time we spend together with special affection. Graham's foot bath will always bring a smile to our faces and yes Rick and I felt the heat as well.
A big thank you to Ingrid who did the usual picking up and dropping off at the airport. Role reversal Ingrid, we used to be in that position when you kids were little. Also thanks for putting us up for the night between flights, also thanks Suzi for sharing her space with us. See you both soon.
Thanks to our house sitters who, by the way did an excellent job of looking after the house. Nice to come back and find everything ok. thanks Murray and Sandra , you did well.
A big thank you to my family in Holland, it was so very nice to be able to spend some time with you and thanks for carting us around every day. We had a great time.
Another big thank you to our friends in Germany, it was lovely to meet up with you again and very nice of you to take that time off from work so we could be together for a few days. We both enjoyed it very much. A big thank you to Phil and Sally for showing us what living in a typical French Village is like, we had a great few days with you and loved every minute of it. A big thank you to John and Christene in Warmfield, for inviting us to share a couple of days with them. Despite the bloody awful weather, we still enjoyed it very much.
A great big thank you to Rick who did all the driving, taking care of Charlie and took all the photos. Also thanks for coming with me to Macdonalds , so we could get wifi, sitting opposite me drinking crappy coffee and waiting for me to finish the blog.
Finally a big thank you for each other, together we made it happen, together we shared our experiences and together we made each day count as very special, and together we had fun. How lucky are we. See you next time we travel

What a blog Willie & Richard - you really ought to show this to one of the main Aussie papers as they would immediately sign you up as their travel feature writer and photographer. I was in tears as I read your last entry but all I can say is that Carol and i have thoroughly enjoyed your company over the last two visits you have made to the UK, we miss the laughter we had especially in the conservatoire, toire, toire but look forward very much to seeing you in OZ.
