Had a lovely weekend, just staying home and relaxing. Having said that, we did go out in the morning for an hour or so to do some shopping but nothing too serious. The weather is changing a bit , a little cooler and not as much sunshine. Watched a bit of football and most of the Fed Ex golf in Atlanta.
We all had a bit of a sleep in this morning, no need to rush. David and Claire ( Graham and Carol's youngest son and daughter-in-law ) were coming to visit for a roast lamb lunch today and later on watch the Arsenal v Manchester City on TV. First we drove to their newly purchased house just around the corner. They are in the middle of major renovations to the house and invited all of us to have a look. Amazing what you can do to make an older house look good again. So far it is a case of stripping everything out, but the new plans will make it into a lovely roomy home. After a very lovely meal, thanks to Carol's cooking talent, we all retired to the lounge to watch the game. It did not look good for Arsenal most of the game, but they managed to score a goal at the end of the game to come away with a draw. Relief all around.
The weather has turned wet and windy and will probably stay that way for a few more days. Out and about again tomorrow.
A very nice couple of days for us and it gave us time to catch up on some badly needed R&R.
