Two days into one blog today. While we were in Inverness we could not get wi-fi at the park so have fallen behind a little. Have since caught up and have back dated the last couple of entries. 20th and 21st.
Yesterday we once again left Inverness and headed south towards our stay in Edinburgh. The plan was to go to Aberdeen for a day and than head on south. we dearly wanted to visit a couple we met on the road in Ayr but found ourself just running out of time. Suddenly time is realy catching up with us and all of a sudden we are in a hurry. Yesterday on our way down we came across a village named Falkland. Just had to stop and walk around the village, very attractive to look and rather old. Stayed a little too long but it was well worth the stop.
Today on our way to Edinburgh, we visited St Andrews, the home of golf. Just had to go there, always watch the British Open and have admired the course. Well it is everything we thought it would be, still a public course and frequented by lots of people. It is just so nice to see the average Joe Blow playing a game of golf there and sometimes kids having a hit.(probably a very expensive hit ) Lots and lots of new buildings have been erected but the old course and club house remain and are very well preserved and looked after. We thought of you Jus and would have loved for you to be there with us. The best part is that you can follow the path and walk all around the course, which gives you a good idea how difficult the course is to play especially when you consider the wind factor.Loved every minute of being there, and will feel even better next time we watch the Open. Had a drive around the town itself, nice in some parts and pretty average in others. Raining by now so did not venture out too much.
Time to head for the big smoke and book our site. We had to book ahead this time, due to the festival held here at the moment. Just as well we did as the park is full for the next three days, also it is a long weekend  this weekend so it's a double whammy. It would be nice to be able to stay here untill it is all over but unfortunately we have to move on again on Sunday. Tomorrow we will take a look at Edinburgh and discover what the fuss is all about. Hopefully the sun will shine.
Rick and I have come to the conclusion that there are 3 things that are stressful in the UK. We call it the 3R's.  Roads, ( very very bumpy ) Round-A- Bouts ( they are everywhere ) and Rain .
The man of the house is happy tonight, good TV reception and he is watching the soccer. All he needs now is a cup of tea and he will be purring for the rest of the evening.  Got to go, have to put the kettle on and make tea. See you tomorrow.
