We were a liitle bit at crossroads this morning, we woke up to pouring rain once again and of course cold to go with it.
Both of us had enough of it all and very much felt like heading south and calling it a day as far as Scotland was concerned. You do get so sick of the wet weather and the low temperatures that go with it. We just want to feel warm for a week or so. Do you know that since we arrived in the UK on the 12th of July we have only had 4 complete dry days  Ok I have had my whinge and will get on with it. We decided to have a shower first and think about it. We came to the conclusion that seeing we have come this far, we may as well carry on and head for the Isle of Skye as we planned.  So there we were, sitting in Charlie, pouring rain and visibility was very bad. Funnily enough that brought a special kind of beauty to the place and we soon cheered up and enjoyed the drive. Once we arrived at the caravan park the rain had stopped and pockets of blue sky appeared. We will be keeping our fingers crossed for tomorrow as we will be driving around the island most of the day.Came across lots of hikers this morning, they looked so sad, all rugged up with plastic coats and plastic bags covering their back packs. We looked at them and said to each other, " we would have caught a bus by now, stuff the walking"
Our stay for the next two nights is in a very nice park with splendid scenery all around us. No matter where you look , the mountains will catch your breath.
We have not ventured very far today and have mainly relaxed since we arrived here, good to do for a change. We hope the Isle of Skye is ready for our visit tomorrow, being a Saturday and all.
Looking forward to it.
