Yes the magic of the Lake District has truly touched our hearts. Time to hit the road again this morning, our next destination was waiting for us to arrive. We took the scenic road and are not sorry that we did. The scenery was spectacular and at times takes you breath away. It is vast, mountainess and very green, which is mainly due to the amount of rain they had this summer, but it has done this area a big favour. At times it is more spectacular than Switzerland, lots of streams ambling along the roadside and of course the dry stone walls meandering through the hills. Just beautiful. It was a bit hairy for Rick, as he was the one that had to navigate through all the narrow and windy roads.
Today we are in Newcastleton , just on the Scottish and English border. The town itself is nothing much to look at but is friendly, and the park is  nice and small with the best facilities we have had so far. Also the owners could not be nicer and friendlier. Our main reason for visiting this area is to visit Hadrian's Wall and Carlisle Castle. There are lots of walking trails here as well which we will no doubt look at tomorrow. This location maybe very peaceful now but is the scene of many a bloody battle between Scots and English in the past. Lots of history and will be a good place for us to visit for a couple of days.  All very easy going today, even watched some of the OLympic Games on the telly.
We have booked our ferry crossing to Ireland this afternoon and will be crossing on the 3rd of August. Looking forward to visiting Ireland, we will be staying in Ireland until the 14th, after which we will continue our tour of Scotland. Time is going to fast for us  again. Also we are preparing to sell Charlie, We have taken lots of photos when she has looked her best and she does scrub up very well , but most of us girls do look good after a bit of tender loving care.
We will adverise her on the internet shortly. Have not told her yet, but feel that due to us being so far away , she will have a better life with another family. We will be sorry to have her adopted out .
A lovely day today we enjoyed some beautiful scenery and are camped in a lovely area. Life is good
